- suspect in haematuria +/- hearing loss
- renal biopsy= variable thickness of GBM

when is renal biopsy contra-indicated?
A
thrombocytopenia small kidneys uncontrolled hypertension (bleeding risk) untreated UTI (secondary haemorrhage) coagulation defects
