Standard Operating Procedures
Daily routines, day to day processes, usually quite extensive. Things such as new user accounts, backup storage reqs, encryption key requests. These should be well documented, some require extensive documentation to comply with industry regs.
Interoperability Agreements
Every org will work with third parties. There are legal aspects to handling these things. Some of your data will be in the hands of others, so there must be legal agreements to make sure things are protected.
Common Agreements - Service Level Agreement (SLA)
These are generally minimum terms of services provided, uptime, response time agreements, etc.
Common Agreements - Business Partner Agreement (BPA)
This is commonly seen between manufacturers and resellers.
Common Agreements - Interconnection Security Agreement (ISA)
This is used by the US Federal Government to define security controls.
Common Agreements - Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)
Both sides agree on the contents of the memorandum. Usually includes statements of confidentiality. Informal letter of intent. This is not a signed contract.
Common Agreements - Memorandum of Agreement (MOA)
The next step above an MOU. Both sides agree to the objectives. It’s a legal document even w/o legal language. Unlike a contract, it may not contain legally enforceable promises.
