Pathology?
A
Bile duct inflammation in response to gallstones, infection or malignancy

Signs and symptoms?
A
Acute onset, RUQ pain radiating to right scapula, fever, vomiting, peritonism, mass
RUQ mass, jaundice, Murphy’s sign

Investigations and findings?
A
FBC - leucocytosis
USS - enlargement of gall bladder
LFTS - increased ALP

Q
Management?
A
Analgesia, Acid/base fluid balance
Removal of gallstones, treat other causes, Cholecystectomy

Complications?
A
Recurrence
Infection
Perforation
