0.5 cun lateral to the outer canthus in the depression on the lateral side of the orbital margin. PSq 0.3-0.5 inch posteriorly or toward Taiyang.

Anterior to the intertragic notch, at the posterior border of the condyloid process of the mandible. Point is located with the mouth open. PP 0.5-1.0 inch w/ mouth open during insertion. No moxibustion.

In the depression posterior and inferior to the mastoid process. PO 0.5-1.0 inch inferiorly.

In the depression between the upper portion of the sternocleidomastoid muscle and the trapezius muscle, level with GV 16, at the base of the skull. Puncture perpendicularly-obliquely 0.5-1.0 inch toward the tip of the nose, contralateral eye, or Yintang.

C: Brain stem/spinal cord

Midway between the lower border of the spinous process of CV 7 (GV 14) and the acromion, at the highest point of the trapezius muscle. PP 0.3-0.5 inch or obliquely 0.5-1.0 inch posteriorly.

C: Apex of lung - pneumothorax risk. CI in pregnancy

GB 24 - Front Mu point of Gall Bladder
4 cun lateral to the anterior midline, in the 7th intercostal space. PO 0.5-1.0 inch along the intercostal space.
N: 7th intercostal nerve
C: Liver (right) and lung - pneumothorax risk
I: Hypochondriac pain
A: Promotes smooth flow of Liver Qi
GB 25 - Front Mu point of Kidney
On the lateral side of the abdomen, anterior and inferior to the free end of the 12th rib. Approximately level with 2.5 cun superior to umbilicus. PP 0.5-1.0 inch.
N: Eleventh intercostal nerve
C: Peritoneal cavity and kidney in thinner patients
I: Hypochondriac pain
A: Tonifies the Kidney

In the depression midway between the ASIS and the greater trochanter. PP 1.0-2.0 inch or obliquely 2.0-3.0 inch.
N: Lateral femoral cutaneous nerve
C: None
I: Sciatica
A: Relieves pain

At the junction of the lateral 1/3rd and medial 2/3rd of the distance between the greater trochanter and the sacral hiatus (GV 2). Best located w/ patient in lateral recumbent position. PP 2.0-4.0 inch.
N: Sciatic nerve and inferior gluteal nerve

In depression anterior and inferior to the head of the fibula. PP 1.0-1.5 inch.

3 cun proximal to the tip of the external malleolus, in the depression between the posterior border of the fibula and the peroneus longus and brevis tendons. PP 0.3-0.5 inch.

On the lateral side of the 4th toe, about 1.0 cun proximal to the corner of the nail bed. PSq 0.1 inch or prick to cause bleeding.
