Q

What is bulk transport?

A

When extremely large substances need to be moved. There is endocytosis and exocytosis which involve changes to the membrane shape

Q

How do endo and exocytosis work?

A

Vesicles transport substances around the cell
Vesicles move by being attached to the cytoskeleton (protein structures in the cell) and ATP is needed
Vesicles can fuse with the cell plasma membrane to take in or expel its contents
This is bulk transport
