..immediately forwarded to the DC or the DivC.
Court appearances resulting from on duty incidents.
1-Employee will be given sufficient time off to attend court.
2-If employees area dismissed from court prior to the end of their normal day or night shift then they will return to work for the completion of their shift.
3-Employees will not be deducted lieu days, vacation or time owing for court attendance.
4-In the event that an employee is scheduled to attend court on his/her day off then that employee will be compensated for a min. of 3 hours at time and a half. Time to be calculated from the employee’s normal work place to court and back to normal work place.
Court appearances resulting from off-duty incidents
1-Employees will be given sufficient time off to attend court.
2-Time off will be the responsibility of the employees through the use of their time owing, lieu days and or vacation. Variations to this may be considered by the Fire Chief due to extenuating circumstances.
