08-02 - Station Inspections

Question 1

Responsibility of the Station Captain.

Answer 1

to ensure that the daily, weekly and monthly inspection checks are completed and the monthly inspection form, red station logbook is filled out.

Question 2

Responsibility of the FPO assigned to that Fire station.

Answer 2

To ensure that the weekly and monthly fire inspection checks are completed and the red logbook is filled out.

Question 3

Station Captains will record the following daily, weekly, and monthly items

Daily
-Exit light working and exits not blocked
-Fire alarm system power lamp operational and not in trouble(209,210,213 &FLS building)
Weekly
-Perform weekly generator run test as per SOG and fill out the check sheets and the red logbook
Monthly
-Complete the Monthly H&S Facility Inspection form and forward to Admin.
-Ensure the Fire Protection Equipment Maintenance Log is filled out and current.
