Orchidopexy

What happens in testicular torsion? Sx?
A
Spermatic cord twists and produces a testicular ischaemia.
Rapid onset pain with nausea and vomiting.

Mx torsion?
A
Irreversible after 6/24: USS urgent.
Treat surgically.

Sx epididymo-orchiditis ? Need to rule out what?
Mx if Sexually tranmitted?
A
Pain, blood in semen and urine and swelling.
Important to rule out torsion
azithromycin and cefuroxime.
