What happens ?

Mx?

A

Reaction to general anaesthetic, usually volatile agents.
Produce increase in oxidative metabolism of skeletal muscle.
Homeostasis is overwhelmed: hypoxia, hyperthermia and hypercapnia
Tachycardia, rhabdomyolysis, acidosis, death,

Remove trigger and give dantrolene (a muscle relaxant) + supportive measures.
