Election of 1800-
the federalists supported John Adams and Charles Pinckney going against Republican nominated Thomas Jefferson and Aaron Burr. It was different because they did not campaign around the country, they wrote letters.
11th Amendment
US courts cannot hear cases and make decisions against a state if it is sued by a citizen who lives in another state or a person who lives in another country Without permission.
12th Amendment-
each elector must cast distinct votes for president and vice president, instead of two votes for president

Marbury wants to force a delivery. Marshall said this was unconstatutional.

Jefferson’s view on the size of government. He promoted a smaller “states rights” view

was the vice president, killed alexander hamiltion.

enslaved africans revolted against plantation owners. Napoleon sent troops but was unsuccessful.
Why did Jefferson think the Louisiana Territory would be a good acquisition for the United States
The reasons included future protection, expansion, prosperity and the mystery of unknown lands

It took Lewis and Clark 18 months or 1 ½ years.

No, but people plotted to secede from the Union. This plan did not work.

The Louisiana Territory belonged to France and was an enormous amount of land, stretching from the South city of New Orleans and west to the Rocky Mountains.
