64B Flashcards
When the threatening Clodius had looked back at that uproar, Birra pierced his shoulder with a spear.
Inde cum orta esset pugna, plures Miloniami accurrerunt.
Then when the battle had rissen, more of Milo’s men ran.
Clodius vulneratus in tabernam proximam in Bovillano delatus est.
Clodius having been wounded was brought into a nearby tavern in the area of Bovillan.
And thus the hiding Clodius was dragged out and was finished off with many wounds.
The senator Sextus Teidius who by chance was returning into the city from the countryside lifted his body left in the road because the slaves of Clodius had either been killed or were lying seriously injured and he ordered it to be brought to Rome by his litter.
Ipse rursus eodem unde erat egressus se recepit.
This very man took himself again to the same place from where he had come.
Milo, as he learned that Clodius had been wounded, since he realized that it would be even more dangerous with him being alive, however with him killed he would have great relief even if he had to undergo punishment he ordered him to be dragged from the tavern.
