PIO will be notified immediately after the following incidents have been confirmed:
- Aircraft, boating, fire, gas leak, industrial, railroad incidents with SI, missing occupants, large scale evacuation or significant impact to traffic.
- Bomb incidents involving threats to Critical Infrastructure, located device or large scale evacuation
- kidnapping with person still missing
- Missing person involving accident, foul play, at risk circumstances
- Escapes from JSO custody
- Officer involved discharge of firearm, in custody death(traffic crash with SI or death, any police related action with SI or death
- SWAT callout for barricaded or hostage situation
- Strikes or civil disturbance with injury, death, large scale unrest

On scene commanding officer
Who is responsible for ensuring EARS broadcast is done?
On scene watch Commander
What incidents require EARS broadcast?
- Incidents requiring notification of PIO
- Homicide Investigation
- robbery investigation involving financial institution, suspect caught, SI
- Aggravated Battery involving deadly weapon and SI
- Traffic Homicide investigation
- Any incident deemed noteworthy by on scene commanding officer
On scene commanding officer will Contact PECO Supervisor to do Public Statement at least how many minutes from time of EARS broadcast?
