Officers and supervisors will be required to obtain medical evaluations from (JFRD) or nurse at (PDF), as soon as possible or practical, for individuals:
- Who show signs of any injury as a result of any use of force
- Who complain about any injury as a result of force being applied;
- Who become unconscious either during or following the application of any force; or
- When officer or supervisor reasonably believes an individual is in need of a medical evaluation as a result of the application of force.
Passive Resistance definition:
- subject refuses to comply or respond
- does not make an attempt physically to defeat the actions of the officer but forces the officer to employ physical maneuvers to establish control
