17
Q
  1. Dental implants
    f/ Characteristics of endosteal implant
A

1/ Placed into jaw bone – safe and most common
2/ require healthy alveolar bone

18
Q
  1. Dental implants
    g/ Characteristics of subperiosteal implant
A

1/ placed under the gum but not in the alveolar bone but on top of it
2/ Metal framework lies on top of the jawbone.
3/ Suitable for patients where there is not enough alveolar bone

19
Q

    h/ Characteristics of transosteal implant
A

1/ Passes through the jaw bone
