- one maximal movement, where performer performs one lift/movement to the best of their abilties
eg, a deadlift where a olympic weightlifter had to do as much as they can

timed bleeps, which progressively get faster, performer must do an abdominal crunch before each bleep sounds, and go until failure/complete fatigue
tests for strength endurance can also be used for dynamic strength

A
performer measures standing reach, then performs standing jump and sees how much higher they reach
test for explosive strength

A
dynamometer with handle, performer squeezes handle as hard as possible and it will display the performers grip strength
