- BSOD
o Windows doesn’t know how to respond
o Windows issues – corrupt OS files or drivers
o Hardware failure such as RAM [memory dump error]
o App error
o AKA = Stop Error
o OS files bad = use SFC checker, system repair utility, last known config, reinstall
- Sluggish Performance
o Computer slow
o Check you have minimum amount of resources
o Task manager for how many resources being used
o Reinstall app & add more RAM, SSD, faster processor
o Reinstall OS as last option
- Frequent Shutdowns
o Windows issues – corrupt OS files / drivers
o Hardware Failure

—Cooling issues [fan NOT working]
- Services NOT starting
o Issues with service itself
o Best to reinstall the app that installed the service
o Use system restore & restore to point when it was working
- App Crashing
o Check if any app setting has recently changed
o Backup the app data & reinstall the app

- Low memory warnings
o NOT enough RAM to run app
o Task manager see which app is using how much memory
o Add more RAM, that way uses less page memory
- USB controller resource warnings
o If too many devices connected to USB bus
o Plug some devices into USB 2.0 ports
o Reinstall the USB host controller driver
- System Instability
o System crashing, slow, or error
o Could be caused by corruption in Windows OS files
—Use SFC / scannnow [find & reinstall file]
o System restore / repair
o Reinstall OS [worst case scenario]
- NO OS found
o Boot loader for Windows is corrupt / cannot be found
o Check if you’re booting to correct drive
o Check if there is something plugged into a boot drive that is set in the BIOS
o Use startup repair
o Rebuild the Windows Boot Config database

- Slow Profile Load
o Logging in takes a long time to load desktop
o Check what apps starting up
o If it’s a roaming profile
—Ensure you have enough bandwidth to load profile
- Time Drift
o Date & time going off
o Set to update automatically
