What is a solvent?
The thing doing the dissolving in a solution
What does a neutral solution have?
Equal amounts of H3O and OH

More H3O than OH, and a PH of less than 7
What does a Basic solution have?
More OH than it has H3O, and a PH more than 7
What does water occasionally do?

What scale does PH utilize?
PH utilizes a logarithmic scale
What is a logarithmic scale?
A scale that escalates in powers of 10
How is PH determined from Hydrogen?
10^-1 = PH 1
Which number of PH is higher on the scale?
The ones with lower powers because its on scale of 10 and they are also negative
What is the log version of PH?
-log[H30+]
What is the log version of POH?
-log[OH-]
What is the PH, POH, and H of a solution with an OH of 10^-4?
PH=10, POH=4, H=10^-10
