being given a range of activities and responsibilities that enable the employee to learn and grow
Autonomy
Employees can make independent decisions about their work without consulting a line manager
Remuneration
the term used to describe all financial rewards and employee receives for their work
Wages
Paid depending on how many hours an employee works
Salary
Given a set pay for the year, split into months
Fringe benefits
Perks given in addition to a wage or salary eg. pension scheme, company car, work laptop/mobile phone, gym membership, subsidised meals, free travel or parking
Bonuses
an extra payment over and above the basic wage or salary
Commission
Sales people may be paid a basic salary plus a commission (a percentage of the value of the sales)
Promotion
A job promotion is the advancement of an employee to a position of greater responsibility authority or status within an organisation. A promotion results in an increase in salary.
