Consumer Rights Act (2015)
Products or Services must be:
- Described accurately
- Fit for purpose
- Services must be provided within reasonable time
- Services must be provided at a reasonable price
- Businesses must accept returns
- Repairs and replacements must be given where neccesary
Trade Descriptions act (1968)
A business must accurately describe their goods and services. It is an offence for a business to wrongly describe any part of the product or service they offer
Health and Safety at Work Act (1978)
The reponsabilities employers and employees have in keeping the working environmental safe:
- Employers must provide training and employees must undergo the training
- Employers must provide safety equipment and employees must use it
- Employers must provide drinking water, toilets and suitable washing facilities and first aid equipment
- Employees must take responsability for their own safety and report any risks to the employer
National Minimum Wage Act (1998)
Covers everyone and ensures everyone is paid a minimum wage depending on their age category
Equality Act (2010)
Protects everyone in Britain from harassment, discrimination and victimisation. Individuals cannot be discriminated against for their protected charactaristics including age, race, gender, disability and ethnicity
