Describe the flexor / pain reflex

A

Stimulus, contraction of flexor muscles AND inhibition of antagonist muscles (polysynaptic)

Describe the crossed extensor reflex

A

Most common in weight bearing, flexor reflex and an opposite response on the opposite ride of the body, interneurons send axons to the contralateral ventral horn
