What are the contraindications for applying a Tranzport spit hood on a patient?
anyone who is:
-vomiting
-dyspneic
-hemorrhaging profusely from the mouth or nose
-presents a compromised airway.
As always, patients placed in restraints are to be transported in the ____ position, and NEVER placed in the PRONE position.
Pt wearing the Spit Hood shall never be left unattended.

The Tranzport Hood should be considered for placement on patients who:
Present as combative, belligerent, or otherwise uncontrollable AND pose a risk of bodily fluids exposure to rescuers
Once hood is on a patient, continuous use of _____ shall be performed and documented whenever possible.
Particular attention shall be paid to the patient’s airway and respiratory status.
