-Determine a safe response route based upon dispatch and on-scene information
The first on scene OFFICER in charge should contact the Alameda Corridor Dispatch Operator utilizing the EMERGENCY PHONE to obtain additional information regarding the incident.
Be prepared to confirm the following info with the operator:
-nature of the incident
-your company ID
-cross street name
-mile post number
-ladder number where you are operating
(The operator will, in turn, be able to provide the first responder with manifest information, train destination, rail car identification and problem, shut down the corridor to additional rail traffic; and be a point of contact with the rail industry.)
When the incident involves a medical emergency, consideration should be given to utilizing a ________ to remove the patient.
