Q

what are the assumptions made in the kinetic model of an ideal mass?

A
  • large number of atoms moving in random directions in random speeds
  • atoms occupy a negligable volume compared to volume of a gas
  • collsisions between atoms are perfectly elastic
  • time of collision = instantaneous
  • electrostatic forces between atoms are negligable until they collide
