explain transcription

A
  • DNA helicase breaks (hydrogen) bonds between both strands
  • complementary RNA nucleotides move into place ∴ forming (hydrogen) bonds with bases one exposed ends on one strand
  • RNA polymerase joins RNA nucleotides ∴ phosphodiester bonds
    (this is messenger RNA.)
