What is the exception to antibiotic therapy?
Antibiotic should be given within 4-6hours however, when in shock, should be given in = 1 hour for 5-7days
What is standard tx or an inpatient in an ICU?
Antipneumococcal beta-lactam and azithromycin OR moxifloxacin
What creates risk for MDR bacteria?
recent hospitalization of atleast 48 hrs
residence in long term care facility
chronic hemodialysis
critical illness
