Q
قَدْ أَفْلَحَ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ ﴿١﴾
A
Success is really attained by the believers.
2
Q
الَّذِينَ هُمْ فِي صَلَاتِهِمْ خَاشِعُونَ ﴿٢﴾
A
Who concentrate their attention in humbleness when offering Salah (prayers).
3
Q
وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ عَنِ اللَّغْوِ مُعْرِضُونَ ﴿٣﴾
A
And who keep themselves away from vain things.
4
Q
وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ لِلزَّكَاةِ فَاعِلُونَ ﴿٤﴾
A
And who are performers of Zakah.
5
Q
وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ لِفُرُوجِهِمْ حَافِظُونَ ﴿٥﴾
A
And who guard their private parts.
6
Q
إِلَّا عَلَىٰ أَزْوَاجِهِمْ أَوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ غَيْرُ مَلُومِينَ ﴿٦﴾
A
Except from their wives or from those (bondwomen who are) owned by their hands as they are not to be blamed.

Q
فَمَنِ ابْتَغَىٰ وَرَاءَ ذَٰلِكَ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْعَادُونَ ﴿٧﴾
A
However, those who seek (sexual pleasure) beyond that are the transgressors.
8
Q
وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ لِأَمَانَاتِهِمْ وَعَهْدِهِمْ رَاعُونَ ﴿٨﴾
A
And (success is attained) by those who honestly look after their trusts and covenant.
9
Q
وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ عَلَىٰ صَلَوَاتِهِمْ يُحَافِظُونَ ﴿٩﴾
A
And who consistently observe their prayers.
10
Q
أُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْوَارِثُونَ ﴿١٠﴾
A
Those are the inheritors.
11
Q
الَّذِينَ يَرِثُونَ الْفِرْدَوْسَ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ ﴿١١﴾
A
Who will inherit Firdaws (The Paradise). They will be there forever.
12
Q
وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْإِنسَانَ مِن سُلَالَةٍ مِّن طِينٍ ﴿١٢﴾
A
We have created man from an extract of clay.
13
Q
ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَاهُ نُطْفَةً فِي قَرَارٍ مَّكِينٍ ﴿١٣﴾
A
Then We made him a sperm drop in a firm resting place.

Q
ثُمَّ خَلَقْنَا النُّطْفَةَ عَلَقَةً فَخَلَقْنَا الْعَلَقَةَ مُضْغَةً فَخَلَقْنَا الْمُضْغَةَ عِظَامًا فَكَسَوْنَا الْعِظَامَ لَحْمًا ثُمَّ أَنشَأْنَاهُ خَلْقًا آخَرَ ۚ فَتَبَارَكَ اللَّهُ أَحْسَنُ الْخَالِقِينَ ﴿١٤﴾
A
Then We turned the sperm drop into a clot then We turned the clot into a foetus lump then We turned the fetus lump into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh. Thereafter We developed it into another creature. So glorius is Allah (s.w.t), The Best of Creators.
15
Q
ثُمَّ إِنَّكُم بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ لَمَيِّتُونَ ﴿١٥﴾
A
Then after all of this you are to die.
16
Q
ثُمَّ إِنَّكُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ تُبْعَثُونَ ﴿١٦﴾
A
Then you are to be raised again on The Day of Judgement.
17
Q
وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا فَوْقَكُمْ سَبْعَ طَرَائِقَ وَمَا كُنَّا عَنِ الْخَلْقِ غَافِلِينَ ﴿١٧﴾
A
And above you We created 7 paths (Heavens) and We were never neglectful of the creation.
18
Q
وَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً بِقَدَرٍ فَأَسْكَنَّاهُ فِي الْأَرْضِ ۖ وَإِنَّا عَلَىٰ ذَهَابٍ بِهِ لَقَادِرُونَ ﴿١٨﴾
A
And We sent down water from the sky in due measure then We lodged it in the Earth and of course We are able to take it away.
19
Q
فَأَنشَأْنَا لَكُم بِهِ جَنَّاتٍ مِّن نَّخِيلٍ وَأَعْنَابٍ لَّكُمْ فِيهَا فَوَاكِهُ كَثِيرَةٌ وَمِنْهَا تَأْكُلُونَ ﴿١٩﴾
A
Then We produced with it gardens of date palms and vines for your benefit. For you there are many fruits in them. And of them you eat.
20
Q
وَشَجَرَةً تَخْرُجُ مِن طُورِ سَيْنَاءَ تَنبُتُ بِالدُّهْنِ وَصِبْغٍ لِّلْآكِلِينَ ﴿٢٠﴾
A
And (We produced) a tree (of olive) that comes forth from the mount sinai which grows with oil and with a dressing for those who eat.
21
Q
وَإِنَّ لَكُمْ فِي الْأَنْعَامِ لَعِبْرَةً ۖ نُّسْقِيكُم مِّمَّا فِي بُطُونِهَا وَلَكُمْ فِيهَا مَنَافِعُ كَثِيرَةٌ وَمِنْهَا تَأْكُلُونَ ﴿٢١﴾
A
And indeed there is a sure lesson in the cattle for you. We give you a drink from that which lies in their bellies and for you there are many benefits in them and of them you eat.
22
Q
وَعَلَيْهَا وَعَلَى الْفُلْكِ تُحْمَلُونَ ﴿٢٢﴾
A
And on them (cattle) and on the boats you are transported.
23
Q
وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِ فَقَالَ يَا قَوْمِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنْ إِلَٰهٍ غَيْرُهُ ۖ أَفَلَا تَتَّقُونَ ﴿٢٣﴾
A
Surely We sent Nuh (a.s) to his nation. So he said ‘My people, worship Allah (s.w.t). You have no god whatsoever other than Him. So do you not fear Allah (s.w.t)?’.
24
Q
فَقَالَ الْمَلَأُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِن قَوْمِهِ مَا هَٰذَا إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُكُمْ يُرِيدُ أَن يَتَفَضَّلَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَلَوْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ لَأَنزَلَ مَلَائِكَةً مَّا سَمِعْنَا بِهَٰذَا فِي آبَائِنَا الْأَوَّلِينَ ﴿٢٤﴾
A
So the disbelieving chiefs from among his nation said ‘This man is nothing but a human like you. He wishes to impose his superiority over you. Had Allah (s.w.t) willed, He would have sent down angels (instead of him). We have not heard of such a thing among our forefathers’.
25
إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا رَجُلٌ بِهِ جِنَّةٌ فَتَرَبَّصُوا بِهِ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ ﴿٢٥﴾
He is none but a man suffering from madness so wait for (what happens to) him until some time.
26
قَالَ رَبِّ انصُرْنِي بِمَا كَذَّبُونِ ﴿٢٦﴾
He (Nuh (a.s)) said 'My Lord help me for they have rejected me'.
27
فَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْهِ أَنِ اصْنَعِ الْفُلْكَ بِأَعْيُنِنَا وَوَحْيِنَا فَإِذَا جَاءَ أَمْرُنَا وَفَارَ التَّنُّورُ ۙ فَاسْلُكْ فِيهَا مِن كُلٍّ زَوْجَيْنِ اثْنَيْنِ وَأَهْلَكَ إِلَّا مَن سَبَقَ عَلَيْهِ الْقَوْلُ مِنْهُمْ ۖ وَلَا تُخَاطِبْنِي فِي الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا ۖ إِنَّهُم مُّغْرَقُونَ ﴿٢٧﴾
So We sent Our revelation to him saying 'Make a ship under Our eyes and Our revelation. So when Our command will come and the oven will gush forth, take on its board a pair of two from each (species) along with your family except those of them against whom the word has already come to pass. And do not speak to Me of those who have done wrong. They are sure to be drowned'.
28
فَإِذَا اسْتَوَيْتَ أَنتَ وَمَن مَّعَكَ عَلَى الْفُلْكِ فَقُلِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي نَجَّانَا مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ ﴿٢٨﴾
So when you and those with you are well seated in the ship say 'Praise is for Allah (s.w.t) who saved us from the wrongdoing people'.
29
وَقُل رَّبِّ أَنزِلْنِي مُنزَلًا مُّبَارَكًا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الْمُنزِلِينَ ﴿٢٩﴾
And he (Nuh (a.s)) said 'My Lord, descend me at a blessed landing place and you are the best of accomodaters'.
30
إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ وَإِن كُنَّا لَمُبْتَلِينَ ﴿٣٠﴾
Indeed in that are signs and indeed We are testing (Our servants).
31
ثُمَّ أَنشَأْنَا مِن بَعْدِهِمْ قَرْنًا آخَرِينَ ﴿٣١﴾
Then We produced after them another generation.
32
فَأَرْسَلْنَا فِيهِمْ رَسُولًا مِّنْهُمْ أَنِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنْ إِلَٰهٍ غَيْرُهُ ۖ أَفَلَا تَتَّقُونَ ﴿٣٢﴾
Then We sent a messenger from themselves (saying) 'Worship Allah (s.w.t). You have no deity other than Him. So will you not be god-fearing?'.
33
وَقَالَ الْمَلَأُ مِن قَوْمِهِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَكَذَّبُوا بِلِقَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ وَأَتْرَفْنَاهُمْ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا مَا هَٰذَا إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُكُمْ يَأْكُلُ مِمَّا تَأْكُلُونَ مِنْهُ وَيَشْرَبُ مِمَّا تَشْرَبُونَ ﴿٣٣﴾
And the chiefs from his nation who disbelieved and denied the meeting of the Hereafter while We gave them luxury in the worldly life said 'This man is nothing but a human like you. He eats from that which you eat and he drinks from that which you drink.
34
وَلَئِنْ أَطَعْتُم بَشَرًا مِّثْلَكُمْ إِنَّكُمْ إِذًا لَّخَاسِرُونَ ﴿٣٤﴾
And if you should obey a man like yourselfs indeed you would be from amongst the losers.
35
أَيَعِدُكُمْ أَنَّكُمْ إِذَا مِتُّمْ وَكُنتُمْ تُرَابًا وَعِظَامًا أَنَّكُم مُّخْرَجُونَ ﴿٣٥﴾
Does he promise you that when you die and you would become dust and bones indeed you will be brought forth?
36
۞ هَيْهَاتَ هَيْهَاتَ لِمَا تُوعَدُونَ ﴿٣٦﴾
How far, how far is that which you have been promised.
37
إِنْ هِيَ إِلَّا حَيَاتُنَا الدُّنْيَا نَمُوتُ وَنَحْيَا وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَبْعُوثِينَ ﴿٣٧﴾
It is nothing but the worldly life, we die and we live but We will not be resurrected.
38
إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا رَجُلٌ افْتَرَىٰ عَلَى اللَّهِ كَذِبًا وَمَا نَحْنُ لَهُ بِمُؤْمِنِينَ ﴿٣٨﴾
He is not but a man who has forged a lie against Allah (s.w.t) and we will not believe in him.
39
قَالَ رَبِّ انصُرْنِي بِمَا كَذَّبُونِ ﴿٣٩﴾
He said 'My Lord help me for they have rejected me',
40
قَالَ عَمَّا قَلِيلٍ لَّيُصْبِحُنَّ نَادِمِينَ ﴿٤٠﴾
He (Allah (s.w.t)) said: 'After a little they will surely become regretful'.
41
فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّيْحَةُ بِالْحَقِّ فَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ غُثَاءً ۚ فَبُعْدًا لِّلْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ ﴿٤١﴾
So the Cry seized them rightfully and We turned them into scum. So away with the wrongdoing people.
42
ثُمَّ أَنشَأْنَا مِن بَعْدِهِمْ قُرُونًا آخَرِينَ ﴿٤٢﴾
Then We created after them another generation.
43
مَا تَسْبِقُ مِنْ أُمَّةٍ أَجَلَهَا وَمَا يَسْتَأْخِرُونَ ﴿٤٣﴾
No religious community can go ahead of its term nor can they seek respite.
44
ثُمَّ أَرْسَلْنَا رُسُلَنَا تَتْرَىٰ ۖ كُلَّ مَا جَاءَ أُمَّةً رَّسُولُهَا كَذَّبُوهُ ۚ فَأَتْبَعْنَا بَعْضَهُم بَعْضًا وَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ أَحَادِيثَ ۚ فَبُعْدًا لِّقَوْمٍ لَّا يُؤْمِنُونَ ﴿٤٤﴾
Then We sent Our messengers successively. Whenever a messenger came to a religious community they rejected him. Then We made some of them follow others (in destruction) and We turned them into tales (of history). So away with the nation who do not believe.
45
ثُمَّ أَرْسَلْنَا مُوسَىٰ وَأَخَاهُ هَارُونَ بِآيَاتِنَا وَسُلْطَانٍ مُّبِينٍ ﴿٤٥﴾
Thereafter We sent Musa (a.s) and his brother Harun (a.s) with Our signs and a clear proof/authority.
46
إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَئِهِ فَاسْتَكْبَرُوا وَكَانُوا قَوْمًا عَالِينَ ﴿٤٦﴾
To Pharoah and his advisers. But they were arrogant and they haughty people.
47
فَقَالُوا أَنُؤْمِنُ لِبَشَرَيْنِ مِثْلِنَا وَقَوْمُهُمَا لَنَا عَابِدُونَ ﴿٤٧﴾
So they (pharoah and his advisers) said: 'Shall we believe in two men like us and whose people are serving as slaves for us?'.
48
فَكَذَّبُوهُمَا فَكَانُوا مِنَ الْمُهْلَكِينَ ﴿٤٨﴾
Thus they rejected both of them and were from amongst the ones destroyed.
49
وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْكِتَابَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَهْتَدُونَ ﴿٤٩﴾
And We certainly gave Musa (a.s) The Scripture so that they may be guided.
50
وَجَعَلْنَا ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ وَأُمَّهُ آيَةً وَآوَيْنَاهُمَا إِلَىٰ رَبْوَةٍ ذَاتِ قَرَارٍ وَمَعِينٍ ﴿٥٠﴾
And We made the son of Maryam (a.s) and his mother a sign and gave them both shelter on a height, having a place of rest and a springs.
51
يَا أَيُّهَا الرُّسُلُ كُلُوا مِنَ الطَّيِّبَاتِ وَاعْمَلُوا صَالِحًا ۖ إِنِّي بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ عَلِيمٌ ﴿٥١﴾
Oh messengers, eat from the good things and do righteous deeds. Indeed I am All Knowing regarding that which you do.
52
وَإِنَّ هَٰذِهِ أُمَّتُكُمْ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً وَأَنَا رَبُّكُمْ فَاتَّقُونِ ﴿٥٢﴾
And indeed this is your religious community, one religious community and I am your Lord so fear Me.
53
فَتَقَطَّعُوا أَمْرَهُم بَيْنَهُمْ زُبُرًا ۖ كُلُّ حِزْبٍ بِمَا لَدَيْهِمْ فَرِحُونَ ﴿٥٣﴾
But they divided their matter between them into fractions. Each group happy with that which lies before it.
54
فَذَرْهُمْ فِي غَمْرَتِهِمْ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ ﴿٥٤﴾
So leave them in their negligence for some time.
55
أَيَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّمَا نُمِدُّهُم بِهِ مِن مَّالٍ وَبَنِينَ ﴿٥٥﴾
Do they think that We provide them with wealth and children
56
نُسَارِعُ لَهُمْ فِي الْخَيْرَاتِ ۚ بَل لَّا يَشْعُرُونَ ﴿٥٦﴾
We are accelerating the good for them? Rather they do not understand.
57
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ هُم مِّنْ خَشْيَةِ رَبِّهِم مُّشْفِقُونَ ﴿٥٧﴾
Indeed those who are anxious out of awe of their Lord
58
وَالَّذِينَ هُم بِآيَاتِ رَبِّهِمْ يُؤْمِنُونَ ﴿٥٨﴾
And those who believe in the verses of their Lord.
59
وَالَّذِينَ هُم بِرَبِّهِمْ لَا يُشْرِكُونَ ﴿٥٩﴾
And those who do not associate partners with their Lord.
60
وَالَّذِينَ يُؤْتُونَ مَا آتَوا وَّقُلُوبُهُمْ وَجِلَةٌ أَنَّهُمْ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ رَاجِعُونَ ﴿٦٠﴾
And those who give give whatever they give and their hearts full of fear that to their Lord they are to return.
61
أُولَٰئِكَ يُسَارِعُونَ فِي الْخَيْرَاتِ وَهُمْ لَهَا سَابِقُونَ ﴿٦١﴾
Those people are accelerating in the good things and they are the foremost to attain them.
62
وَلَا نُكَلِّفُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا ۖ وَلَدَيْنَا كِتَابٌ يَنطِقُ بِالْحَقِّ ۚ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَ ﴿٦٢﴾
We do not place a burden on anyone except to his ability. With Us there is a book which speaks with the truth. And they shall not be wronged.
63
بَلْ قُلُوبُهُمْ فِي غَمْرَةٍ مِّنْ هَٰذَا وَلَهُمْ أَعْمَالٌ مِّن دُونِ ذَٰلِكَ هُمْ لَهَا عَامِلُونَ ﴿٦٣﴾
But their hearts are in ignorance baout this and they have deeds other than that which they are continuously doing.
64
حَتَّىٰ إِذَا أَخَذْنَا مُتْرَفِيهِم بِالْعَذَابِ إِذَا هُمْ يَجْأَرُونَ ﴿٦٤﴾
Until when We will seize the affluent ones with the punishment, they will suddenly start crying.
65
لَا تَجْأَرُوا الْيَوْمَ ۖ إِنَّكُم مِّنَّا لَا تُنصَرُونَ ﴿٦٥﴾
(Then it will be said to them) 'Do not cry today. Indeed you will not be helped by Us'.
66
قَدْ كَانَتْ آيَاتِي تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ فَكُنتُمْ عَلَىٰ أَعْقَابِكُمْ تَنكِصُونَ ﴿٦٦﴾
My verses used to be recited upon you but you used to turn back on your heels.
67
مُسْتَكْبِرِينَ بِهِ سَامِرًا تَهْجُرُونَ ﴿٦٧
In arrogance, making it a subject of tales at night, talking nonsense (about it).
68
أَفَلَمْ يَدَّبَّرُوا الْقَوْلَ أَمْ جَاءَهُم مَّا لَمْ يَأْتِ آبَاءَهُمُ الْأَوَّلِينَ ﴿٦٨﴾
Then is it that they did not ponder over the word (of Allah (s.w.t)) or there has come to them something that did not come to their forefathers.
69
أَمْ لَمْ يَعْرِفُوا رَسُولَهُمْ فَهُمْ لَهُ مُنكِرُونَ ﴿٦٩﴾
Or did they recognise their messenger and therefore they denied him?
70
أَمْ يَقُولُونَ بِهِ جِنَّةٌ ۚ بَلْ جَاءَهُم بِالْحَقِّ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ لِلْحَقِّ كَارِهُونَ ﴿٧٠﴾
Or do they say 'He is suffering from madness', no but he has come to them with truth, but it is the truth that most of them dislike'.
71
وَلَوِ اتَّبَعَ الْحَقُّ أَهْوَاءَهُمْ لَفَسَدَتِ السَّمَاوَاتُ وَالْأَرْضُ وَمَن فِيهِنَّ ۚ بَلْ أَتَيْنَاهُم بِذِكْرِهِمْ فَهُمْ عَن ذِكْرِهِم مُّعْرِضُونَ ﴿٧١﴾
Had the truth followed their desires, the Heavens and the Earth and all those therein would have fallen into disorder. However We have brouth to them their advice, but it is their advice that they are averse to.
72
أَمْ تَسْأَلُهُمْ خَرْجًا فَخَرَاجُ رَبِّكَ خَيْرٌ ۖ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ الرَّازِقِينَ ﴿٧٢﴾
Or is it that you (oh Prophet (s.a.w)) demand renumeration from them? But the renumeration from your Lord is best. And He is the best of providers.
73
وَإِنَّكَ لَتَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ ﴿٧٣﴾
Indeed you are calling them to a straight path.
74
وَإِنَّ الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْآخِرَةِ عَنِ الصِّرَاطِ لَنَاكِبُونَ ﴿٧٤﴾
And indeed those who do not believe in The Hereafter are deviators from the path.
75
۞ وَلَوْ رَحِمْنَاهُمْ وَكَشَفْنَا مَا بِهِم مِّن ضُرٍّ لَّلَجُّوا فِي طُغْيَانِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ ﴿٧٥﴾
And if We have mercy on them and remove whatever distress they have, they would still persist obstinately in their rebellion, wandering blindly (in their disbelief).
76
وَلَقَدْ أَخَذْنَاهُم بِالْعَذَابِ فَمَا اسْتَكَانُوا لِرَبِّهِمْ وَمَا يَتَضَرَّعُونَ ﴿٧٦﴾
We have already seized them with punishment, but they did not turn humble to their Lord, nor do they supplicate in humility.
77
حَتَّىٰ إِذَا فَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِم بَابًا ذَا عَذَابٍ شَدِيدٍ إِذَا هُمْ فِيهِ مُبْلِسُونَ ﴿٧٧﴾
Until when We will open against them the door of a severe punishment they will be taken aback in despair.
78
وَهُوَ الَّذِي أَنشَأَ لَكُمُ السَّمْعَ وَالْأَبْصَارَ وَالْأَفْئِدَةَ ۚ قَلِيلًا مَّا تَشْكُرُونَ ﴿٧٨﴾
He is The One who creates for you ears, eyes and hearts. Little you are grateful.
79
وَهُوَ الَّذِي ذَرَأَكُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَإِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ ﴿٧٩﴾
And He is The One who created you on The Earth and to Him you shall be gathered.
80
وَهُوَ الَّذِي يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ وَلَهُ اخْتِلَافُ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ ۚ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ ﴿٨٠﴾
And He is The One who give life and gives death and to Him belongs the alternation of the night and the day. So will you not understand?
81
بَلْ قَالُوا مِثْلَ مَا قَالَ الْأَوَّلُونَ ﴿٨١﴾
Rather they say, as the former ones have said
82
قَالُوا أَإِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَامًا أَإِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ ﴿٨٢﴾
They say: 'Is it that when we die and we are dust and bones that we will surely be resurrected?'.
83
لَقَدْ وُعِدْنَا نَحْنُ وَآبَاؤُنَا هَٰذَا مِن قَبْلُ إِنْ هَٰذَا إِلَّا أَسَاطِيرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ ﴿٨٣﴾
This is what We have been promised and Our forefathers before. It is nothing but tales of the former people.
84
قُل لِّمَنِ الْأَرْضُ وَمَن فِيهَا إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ ﴿٨٤﴾
Say 'To whom is The Earth and whoever is in it if you would would understand?'.
85
سَيَقُولُونَ لِلَّهِ ۚ قُلْ أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ ﴿٨٥﴾
They will say 'for Allah (s.w.t)'. Say 'Would you still pay no heed?'.
86
قُلْ مَن رَّبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ السَّبْعِ وَرَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ ﴿٨٦﴾
Say 'Who is the Lord of the 7 Heavens and the Lord of the great throne?'
87
سَيَقُولُونَ لِلَّهِ ۚ قُلْ أَفَلَا تَتَّقُونَ ﴿٨٧﴾
They will say 'For Allah (s.w.t)'. Say 'Will you then not be god-fearing'.
88
قُلْ مَن بِيَدِهِ مَلَكُوتُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَهُوَ يُجِيرُ وَلَا يُجَارُ عَلَيْهِ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ ﴿٨٨﴾
Say 'Who is The One in whose hands lies the kingdom of everything and who gives protection and no protection can be given against Him, if you would know?'.
89
سَيَقُولُونَ لِلَّهِ ۚ قُلْ فَأَنَّىٰ تُسْحَرُونَ ﴿٨٩﴾
They will say '(All this belongs) to Allah (s.w.t)'. Say 'Then by which magic are you drawn crazy?'.
90
بَلْ أَتَيْنَاهُم بِالْحَقِّ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَكَاذِبُونَ ﴿٩٠﴾
Rather We have brought to them The Truth and indeed they are absolute liars.
91
مَا اتَّخَذَ اللَّهُ مِن وَلَدٍ وَمَا كَانَ مَعَهُ مِنْ إِلَٰهٍ ۚ إِذًا لَّذَهَبَ كُلُّ إِلَٰهٍ بِمَا خَلَقَ وَلَعَلَا بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ ۚ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ ﴿٩١﴾
Allah (s.w.t) has not taken a on for Himself nor was there any god with Him. Had there been so, every god would have taken away what he created and each one of them would have been aggressive against the other. Pure is Allah (s.w.t) from what they describe.
92
عَالِمِ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ فَتَعَالَىٰ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ ﴿٩٢﴾
He is The Knower of the unseen and the seen and He is far above that which they associate with Him.
93
قُل رَّبِّ إِمَّا تُرِيَنِّي مَا يُوعَدُونَ ﴿٩٣﴾
Say (Oh prophet (s.a.w) in prayer) 'Oh my Lord, if You are to show me (in my life) that (punishment) which they (disbelievers) are promised with'.
94
رَبِّ فَلَا تَجْعَلْنِي فِي الْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ ﴿٩٤﴾
Then my Lord do not place me among the wrongdoing people.
95
وَإِنَّا عَلَىٰ أَن نُّرِيَكَ مَا نَعِدُهُمْ لَقَادِرُونَ ﴿٩٥﴾
And indeed We do have the power to show you that which We have promised them.
96
ادْفَعْ بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ السَّيِّئَةَ ۚ نَحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَصِفُونَ ﴿٩٦﴾
Repel evil with that which is best. We are well aware of what they describe.
97
وَقُل رَّبِّ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ هَمَزَاتِ الشَّيَاطِينِ ﴿٩٧﴾
And say 'My Lord I seek refuge in You from the whispers of the devils'.
98
وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ رَبِّ أَن يَحْضُرُونِ ﴿٩٨﴾
And I seek refuge in you my Lord even from their coming near me.
99
حَتَّىٰ إِذَا جَاءَ أَحَدَهُمُ الْمَوْتُ قَالَ رَبِّ ارْجِعُونِ ﴿٩٩﴾
Until when death comes to one of them, he says 'My Lord, send me back'.
100
لَعَلِّي أَعْمَلُ صَالِحًا فِيمَا تَرَكْتُ ۚ كَلَّا ۚ إِنَّهَا كَلِمَةٌ هُوَ قَائِلُهَا ۖ وَمِن وَرَائِهِم بَرْزَخٌ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ ﴿١٠٠﴾
So that I may do righteous deeds in that (world) which I left behind. Never! It is simply a word he utters and in front of such people there is a barrier till a Day when they will be resurrected.
101
فَإِذَا نُفِخَ فِي الصُّورِ فَلَا أَنسَابَ بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَلَا يَتَسَاءَلُونَ ﴿١٠١﴾
Thereafter when the trumpet will be blown no ties of kinship will remain between them on that Day, nor will they inquire about one another.
102
فَمَن ثَقُلَتْ مَوَازِينُهُ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ ﴿١٠٢﴾
So the one whoses scales (of good deeds) turn out to be heavy, then such people are the successful ones.
103
وَمَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَازِينُهُ فَأُولَٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ خَسِرُوا أَنفُسَهُمْ فِي جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدُونَ ﴿١٠٣﴾
And the one whose scales turn out to be light, then such people are the ones who caused loss to their ownselves. In Jahannum they will remain forever.
104
تَلْفَحُ وُجُوهَهُمُ النَّارُ وَهُمْ فِيهَا كَالِحُونَ ﴿١٠٤﴾
The Fire will scorch their faces and they will be disfigured therein.
105
أَلَمْ تَكُنْ آيَاتِي تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ فَكُنتُم بِهَا تُكَذِّبُونَ ﴿١٠٥﴾
(It will be said to them) 'Were My verses not recited upon you and you used to reject them'.
106
قَالُوا رَبَّنَا غَلَبَتْ عَلَيْنَا شِقْوَتُنَا وَكُنَّا قَوْمًا ضَالِّينَ ﴿١٠٦﴾
They will say 'Our Lord our wretchedness prevailed over us and we were a people wandering astray'.
107
رَبَّنَا أَخْرِجْنَا مِنْهَا فَإِنْ عُدْنَا فَإِنَّا ظَالِمُونَ ﴿١٠٧﴾
Our Lord, get us out from here. If we do this again then We will be wrongoders.
108
قَالَ اخْسَئُوا فِيهَا وَلَا تُكَلِّمُونِ ﴿١٠٨﴾
He (Allah (s.w.t)) will say 'Stay in it and do not speak to Me'.
109
إِنَّهُ كَانَ فَرِيقٌ مِّنْ عِبَادِي يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا آمَنَّا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الرَّاحِمِينَ ﴿١٠٩﴾
There was indeed a group of My servatns who used to say 'Our Lord, We belive so forigive us and have mercy on us and indeed You are the best of the nes who show mercy'.
110
فَاتَّخَذْتُمُوهُمْ سِخْرِيًّا حَتَّىٰ أَنسَوْكُمْ ذِكْرِي وَكُنتُم مِّنْهُمْ تَضْحَكُونَ ﴿١١٠﴾
But you took them as a mockery such that you forgot My rememberance and you used to laugh at them.
111
إِنِّي جَزَيْتُهُمُ الْيَوْمَ بِمَا صَبَرُوا أَنَّهُمْ هُمُ الْفَائِزُونَ ﴿١١١﴾
Today I have recompensed them for that which they were patient. Indeed they are the successful ones.
112
قَالَ كَمْ لَبِثْتُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ عَدَدَ سِنِينَ ﴿١١٢﴾
He (Allah (s.w.t)) will say (to the disbelievers) 'How many years did you sat on the Earth?'.
113
قَالُوا لَبِثْنَا يَوْمًا أَوْ بَعْضَ يَوْمٍ فَاسْأَلِ الْعَادِّينَ ﴿١١٣﴾
They (disbelievers) will say: 'We remained a day or part of a day so ask those (angels) who have (exact) calculation'.
114
قَالَ إِن لَّبِثْتُمْ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا ۖ لَّوْ أَنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ ﴿١١٤﴾
He (Allah (s.w.t)) will say 'You did not stay but for a little while. If only you would have understood (at the time)'.
115
أَفَحَسِبْتُمْ أَنَّمَا خَلَقْنَاكُمْ عَبَثًا وَأَنَّكُمْ إِلَيْنَا لَا تُرْجَعُونَ ﴿١١٥﴾
So do you think that We created you for nothing, and that you will not be brought back to Us?
116
فَتَعَالَى اللَّهُ الْمَلِكُ الْحَقُّ ۖ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْكَرِيمِ ﴿١١٦﴾
So High above all is Allah (s.w.t), The King, The True. There is no god but He, The Lord of The Noble Throne.
117
وَمَن يَدْعُ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا آخَرَ لَا بُرْهَانَ لَهُ بِهِ فَإِنَّمَا حِسَابُهُ عِندَ رَبِّهِ ۚ إِنَّهُ لَا يُفْلِحُ الْكَافِرُونَ ﴿١١٧﴾
And whoever invokes another god with Allah (s.w.t) while he has no proof for it, his reckoning is only with his Lord. Surely the infidels will not achieve success.
118
وَقُل رَّبِّ اغْفِرْ وَارْحَمْ وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الرَّاحِمِينَ ﴿١١٨﴾
And say (Oh prophet (s.a.w)) 'My Lord, grant pardon and have mercy for You are the best of all the merciful ones'.
