سورة المؤمنون

Question 1

قَدْ أَفْلَحَ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ ‎﴿١﴾

Answer 1

Success is really attained by the believers.

Question 2

الَّذِينَ هُمْ فِي صَلَاتِهِمْ خَاشِعُونَ ‎﴿٢﴾‏

Answer 2

Who concentrate their attention in humbleness when offering Salah (prayers).

Question 3

وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ عَنِ اللَّغْوِ مُعْرِضُونَ ‎﴿٣﴾

Answer 3

And who keep themselves away from vain things.

Question 4

وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ لِلزَّكَاةِ فَاعِلُونَ ‎﴿٤﴾

Answer 4

And who are performers of Zakah.

Question 5

وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ لِفُرُوجِهِمْ حَافِظُونَ ‎﴿٥﴾

Answer 5

And who guard their private parts.

Question 6

إِلَّا عَلَىٰ أَزْوَاجِهِمْ أَوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ غَيْرُ مَلُومِينَ ‎﴿٦﴾‏

Answer 6

Except from their wives or from those (bondwomen who are) owned by their hands as they are not to be blamed.

Question 7

فَمَنِ ابْتَغَىٰ وَرَاءَ ذَٰلِكَ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْعَادُونَ ‎﴿٧﴾

Answer 7

However, those who seek (sexual pleasure) beyond that are the transgressors.

Question 8

وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ لِأَمَانَاتِهِمْ وَعَهْدِهِمْ رَاعُونَ ‎﴿٨﴾‏

Answer 8

And (success is attained) by those who honestly look after their trusts and covenant.

Question 9

وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ عَلَىٰ صَلَوَاتِهِمْ يُحَافِظُونَ ‎﴿٩﴾‏

Answer 9

And who consistently observe their prayers.

Question 10

أُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْوَارِثُونَ ‎﴿١٠﴾‏

Answer 10

Those are the inheritors.

Question 11

الَّذِينَ يَرِثُونَ الْفِرْدَوْسَ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ ‎﴿١١﴾‏

Answer 11

Who will inherit Firdaws (The Paradise). They will be there forever.

Question 12

وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْإِنسَانَ مِن سُلَالَةٍ مِّن طِينٍ ‎﴿١٢﴾

Answer 12

We have created man from an extract of clay.

Question 13

ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَاهُ نُطْفَةً فِي قَرَارٍ مَّكِينٍ ‎﴿١٣﴾

Answer 13

Then We made him a sperm drop in a firm resting place.

Question 14

ثُمَّ خَلَقْنَا النُّطْفَةَ عَلَقَةً فَخَلَقْنَا الْعَلَقَةَ مُضْغَةً فَخَلَقْنَا الْمُضْغَةَ عِظَامًا فَكَسَوْنَا الْعِظَامَ لَحْمًا ثُمَّ أَنشَأْنَاهُ خَلْقًا آخَرَ ۚ فَتَبَارَكَ اللَّهُ أَحْسَنُ الْخَالِقِينَ ‎﴿١٤﴾

Answer 14

Then We turned the sperm drop into a clot then We turned the clot into a foetus lump then We turned the fetus lump into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh. Thereafter We developed it into another creature. So glorius is Allah (s.w.t), The Best of Creators.

Question 15

ثُمَّ إِنَّكُم بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ لَمَيِّتُونَ ‎﴿١٥﴾‏

Answer 15

Then after all of this you are to die.

Question 16

ثُمَّ إِنَّكُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ تُبْعَثُونَ ‎﴿١٦﴾

Answer 16

Then you are to be raised again on The Day of Judgement.

Question 17

وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا فَوْقَكُمْ سَبْعَ طَرَائِقَ وَمَا كُنَّا عَنِ الْخَلْقِ غَافِلِينَ ‎﴿١٧﴾‏

Answer 17

And above you We created 7 paths (Heavens) and We were never neglectful of the creation.

Question 18

وَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً بِقَدَرٍ فَأَسْكَنَّاهُ فِي الْأَرْضِ ۖ وَإِنَّا عَلَىٰ ذَهَابٍ بِهِ لَقَادِرُونَ ‎﴿١٨﴾‏

Answer 18

And We sent down water from the sky in due measure then We lodged it in the Earth and of course We are able to take it away.

Question 19

فَأَنشَأْنَا لَكُم بِهِ جَنَّاتٍ مِّن نَّخِيلٍ وَأَعْنَابٍ لَّكُمْ فِيهَا فَوَاكِهُ كَثِيرَةٌ وَمِنْهَا تَأْكُلُونَ ‎﴿١٩﴾

Answer 19

Then We produced with it gardens of date palms and vines for your benefit. For you there are many fruits in them. And of them you eat.

Question 20

وَشَجَرَةً تَخْرُجُ مِن طُورِ سَيْنَاءَ تَنبُتُ بِالدُّهْنِ وَصِبْغٍ لِّلْآكِلِينَ ‎﴿٢٠﴾

Answer 20

And (We produced) a tree (of olive) that comes forth from the mount sinai which grows with oil and with a dressing for those who eat.

Question 21

وَإِنَّ لَكُمْ فِي الْأَنْعَامِ لَعِبْرَةً ۖ نُّسْقِيكُم مِّمَّا فِي بُطُونِهَا وَلَكُمْ فِيهَا مَنَافِعُ كَثِيرَةٌ وَمِنْهَا تَأْكُلُونَ ‎﴿٢١﴾

Answer 21

And indeed there is a sure lesson in the cattle for you. We give you a drink from that which lies in their bellies and for you there are many benefits in them and of them you eat.

Question 22

وَعَلَيْهَا وَعَلَى الْفُلْكِ تُحْمَلُونَ ‎﴿٢٢﴾‏

Answer 22

And on them (cattle) and on the boats you are transported.

Question 23

وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِ فَقَالَ يَا قَوْمِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنْ إِلَٰهٍ غَيْرُهُ ۖ أَفَلَا تَتَّقُونَ ‎﴿٢٣﴾

Answer 23

Surely We sent Nuh (a.s) to his nation. So he said ‘My people, worship Allah (s.w.t). You have no god whatsoever other than Him. So do you not fear Allah (s.w.t)?’.

Question 24

فَقَالَ الْمَلَأُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِن قَوْمِهِ مَا هَٰذَا إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُكُمْ يُرِيدُ أَن يَتَفَضَّلَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَلَوْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ لَأَنزَلَ مَلَائِكَةً مَّا سَمِعْنَا بِهَٰذَا فِي آبَائِنَا الْأَوَّلِينَ ‎﴿٢٤﴾

Answer 24

So the disbelieving chiefs from among his nation said ‘This man is nothing but a human like you. He wishes to impose his superiority over you. Had Allah (s.w.t) willed, He would have sent down angels (instead of him). We have not heard of such a thing among our forefathers’.

Question 25

إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا رَجُلٌ بِهِ جِنَّةٌ فَتَرَبَّصُوا بِهِ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ ‎﴿٢٥﴾

Answer 25

He is none but a man suffering from madness so wait for (what happens to) him until some time.

Question 26

قَالَ رَبِّ انصُرْنِي بِمَا كَذَّبُونِ ‎﴿٢٦﴾

Answer 26

He (Nuh (a.s)) said ‘My Lord help me for they have rejected me’.

Question 27

فَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْهِ أَنِ اصْنَعِ الْفُلْكَ بِأَعْيُنِنَا وَوَحْيِنَا فَإِذَا جَاءَ أَمْرُنَا وَفَارَ التَّنُّورُ ۙ فَاسْلُكْ فِيهَا مِن كُلٍّ زَوْجَيْنِ اثْنَيْنِ وَأَهْلَكَ إِلَّا مَن سَبَقَ عَلَيْهِ الْقَوْلُ مِنْهُمْ ۖ وَلَا تُخَاطِبْنِي فِي الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا ۖ إِنَّهُم مُّغْرَقُونَ ‎﴿٢٧﴾‏

Answer 27

So We sent Our revelation to him saying ‘Make a ship under Our eyes and Our revelation. So when Our command will come and the oven will gush forth, take on its board a pair of two from each (species) along with your family except those of them against whom the word has already come to pass. And do not speak to Me of those who have done wrong. They are sure to be drowned’.

Question 28

فَإِذَا اسْتَوَيْتَ أَنتَ وَمَن مَّعَكَ عَلَى الْفُلْكِ فَقُلِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي نَجَّانَا مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ ‎﴿٢٨﴾‏

Answer 28

So when you and those with you are well seated in the ship say ‘Praise is for Allah (s.w.t) who saved us from the wrongdoing people’.

Question 29

وَقُل رَّبِّ أَنزِلْنِي مُنزَلًا مُّبَارَكًا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الْمُنزِلِينَ ‎﴿٢٩﴾

Answer 29

And he (Nuh (a.s)) said ‘My Lord, descend me at a blessed landing place and you are the best of accomodaters’.

Question 30

إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ وَإِن كُنَّا لَمُبْتَلِينَ ‎﴿٣٠﴾

Answer 30

Indeed in that are signs and indeed We are testing (Our servants).

Question 31

ثُمَّ أَنشَأْنَا مِن بَعْدِهِمْ قَرْنًا آخَرِينَ ‎﴿٣١﴾

Answer 31

Then We produced after them another generation.

Question 32

فَأَرْسَلْنَا فِيهِمْ رَسُولًا مِّنْهُمْ أَنِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنْ إِلَٰهٍ غَيْرُهُ ۖ أَفَلَا تَتَّقُونَ ‎﴿٣٢﴾

Answer 32

Then We sent a messenger from themselves (saying) ‘Worship Allah (s.w.t). You have no deity other than Him. So will you not be god-fearing?’.

Question 33

وَقَالَ الْمَلَأُ مِن قَوْمِهِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَكَذَّبُوا بِلِقَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ وَأَتْرَفْنَاهُمْ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا مَا هَٰذَا إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُكُمْ يَأْكُلُ مِمَّا تَأْكُلُونَ مِنْهُ وَيَشْرَبُ مِمَّا تَشْرَبُونَ ‎﴿٣٣﴾‏

Answer 33

And the chiefs from his nation who disbelieved and denied the meeting of the Hereafter while We gave them luxury in the worldly life said ‘This man is nothing but a human like you. He eats from that which you eat and he drinks from that which you drink.

Question 34

وَلَئِنْ أَطَعْتُم بَشَرًا مِّثْلَكُمْ إِنَّكُمْ إِذًا لَّخَاسِرُونَ ‎﴿٣٤﴾

Answer 34

And if you should obey a man like yourselfs indeed you would be from amongst the losers.

Question 35

أَيَعِدُكُمْ أَنَّكُمْ إِذَا مِتُّمْ وَكُنتُمْ تُرَابًا وَعِظَامًا أَنَّكُم مُّخْرَجُونَ ‎﴿٣٥﴾

Answer 35

Does he promise you that when you die and you would become dust and bones indeed you will be brought forth?

Question 36

۞ هَيْهَاتَ هَيْهَاتَ لِمَا تُوعَدُونَ ‎﴿٣٦﴾

Answer 36

How far, how far is that which you have been promised.

Question 37

إِنْ هِيَ إِلَّا حَيَاتُنَا الدُّنْيَا نَمُوتُ وَنَحْيَا وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَبْعُوثِينَ ‎﴿٣٧﴾

Answer 37

It is nothing but the worldly life, we die and we live but We will not be resurrected.

Question 38

إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا رَجُلٌ افْتَرَىٰ عَلَى اللَّهِ كَذِبًا وَمَا نَحْنُ لَهُ بِمُؤْمِنِينَ ‎﴿٣٨﴾

Answer 38

He is not but a man who has forged a lie against Allah (s.w.t) and we will not believe in him.

Question 39

قَالَ رَبِّ انصُرْنِي بِمَا كَذَّبُونِ ‎﴿٣٩﴾

Answer 39

He said ‘My Lord help me for they have rejected me’,

Question 40

قَالَ عَمَّا قَلِيلٍ لَّيُصْبِحُنَّ نَادِمِينَ ‎﴿٤٠﴾

Answer 40

He (Allah (s.w.t)) said: ‘After a little they will surely become regretful’.

Question 41

فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّيْحَةُ بِالْحَقِّ فَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ غُثَاءً ۚ فَبُعْدًا لِّلْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ ‎﴿٤١﴾‏

Answer 41

So the Cry seized them rightfully and We turned them into scum. So away with the wrongdoing people.

Question 42

ثُمَّ أَنشَأْنَا مِن بَعْدِهِمْ قُرُونًا آخَرِينَ ‎﴿٤٢﴾‏

Answer 42

Then We created after them another generation.

Question 43

مَا تَسْبِقُ مِنْ أُمَّةٍ أَجَلَهَا وَمَا يَسْتَأْخِرُونَ ‎﴿٤٣﴾‏

Answer 43

No religious community can go ahead of its term nor can they seek respite.

Question 44

ثُمَّ أَرْسَلْنَا رُسُلَنَا تَتْرَىٰ ۖ كُلَّ مَا جَاءَ أُمَّةً رَّسُولُهَا كَذَّبُوهُ ۚ فَأَتْبَعْنَا بَعْضَهُم بَعْضًا وَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ أَحَادِيثَ ۚ فَبُعْدًا لِّقَوْمٍ لَّا يُؤْمِنُونَ ‎﴿٤٤﴾‏

Answer 44

Then We sent Our messengers successively. Whenever a messenger came to a religious community they rejected him. Then We made some of them follow others (in destruction) and We turned them into tales (of history). So away with the nation who do not believe.

Question 45

ثُمَّ أَرْسَلْنَا مُوسَىٰ وَأَخَاهُ هَارُونَ بِآيَاتِنَا وَسُلْطَانٍ مُّبِينٍ ‎﴿٤٥﴾

Answer 45

Thereafter We sent Musa (a.s) and his brother Harun (a.s) with Our signs and a clear proof/authority.

Question 46

إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَئِهِ فَاسْتَكْبَرُوا وَكَانُوا قَوْمًا عَالِينَ ‎﴿٤٦﴾

Answer 46

To Pharoah and his advisers. But they were arrogant and they haughty people.

Question 47

فَقَالُوا أَنُؤْمِنُ لِبَشَرَيْنِ مِثْلِنَا وَقَوْمُهُمَا لَنَا عَابِدُونَ ‎﴿٤٧﴾

Answer 47

So they (pharoah and his advisers) said: ‘Shall we believe in two men like us and whose people are serving as slaves for us?’.

Question 48

فَكَذَّبُوهُمَا فَكَانُوا مِنَ الْمُهْلَكِينَ ‎﴿٤٨﴾

Answer 48

Thus they rejected both of them and were from amongst the ones destroyed.

Question 49

وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْكِتَابَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَهْتَدُونَ ‎﴿٤٩﴾

Answer 49

And We certainly gave Musa (a.s) The Scripture so that they may be guided.

Question 50

وَجَعَلْنَا ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ وَأُمَّهُ آيَةً وَآوَيْنَاهُمَا إِلَىٰ رَبْوَةٍ ذَاتِ قَرَارٍ وَمَعِينٍ ‎﴿٥٠﴾

Answer 50

And We made the son of Maryam (a.s) and his mother a sign and gave them both shelter on a height, having a place of rest and a springs.

Question 51

يَا أَيُّهَا الرُّسُلُ كُلُوا مِنَ الطَّيِّبَاتِ وَاعْمَلُوا صَالِحًا ۖ إِنِّي بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ عَلِيمٌ ‎﴿٥١﴾

Answer 51

Oh messengers, eat from the good things and do righteous deeds. Indeed I am All Knowing regarding that which you do.

Question 52

وَإِنَّ هَٰذِهِ أُمَّتُكُمْ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً وَأَنَا رَبُّكُمْ فَاتَّقُونِ ‎﴿٥٢﴾‏

Answer 52

And indeed this is your religious community, one religious community and I am your Lord so fear Me.

Question 53

فَتَقَطَّعُوا أَمْرَهُم بَيْنَهُمْ زُبُرًا ۖ كُلُّ حِزْبٍ بِمَا لَدَيْهِمْ فَرِحُونَ ‎﴿٥٣﴾

Answer 53

But they divided their matter between them into fractions. Each group happy with that which lies before it.

Question 54

فَذَرْهُمْ فِي غَمْرَتِهِمْ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ ‎﴿٥٤﴾‏

Answer 54

So leave them in their negligence for some time.

Question 55

أَيَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّمَا نُمِدُّهُم بِهِ مِن مَّالٍ وَبَنِينَ ‎﴿٥٥﴾

Answer 55

Do they think that We provide them with wealth and children

Question 56

نُسَارِعُ لَهُمْ فِي الْخَيْرَاتِ ۚ بَل لَّا يَشْعُرُونَ ‎﴿٥٦﴾

Answer 56

We are accelerating the good for them? Rather they do not understand.

Question 57

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ هُم مِّنْ خَشْيَةِ رَبِّهِم مُّشْفِقُونَ ‎﴿٥٧﴾‏

Answer 57

Indeed those who are anxious out of awe of their Lord

Question 58

وَالَّذِينَ هُم بِآيَاتِ رَبِّهِمْ يُؤْمِنُونَ ‎﴿٥٨﴾

Answer 58

And those who believe in the verses of their Lord.

Question 59

وَالَّذِينَ هُم بِرَبِّهِمْ لَا يُشْرِكُونَ ‎﴿٥٩﴾‏

Answer 59

And those who do not associate partners with their Lord.

Question 60

وَالَّذِينَ يُؤْتُونَ مَا آتَوا وَّقُلُوبُهُمْ وَجِلَةٌ أَنَّهُمْ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ رَاجِعُونَ ‎﴿٦٠﴾‏

Answer 60

And those who give give whatever they give and their hearts full of fear that to their Lord they are to return.

Question 61

أُولَٰئِكَ يُسَارِعُونَ فِي الْخَيْرَاتِ وَهُمْ لَهَا سَابِقُونَ ‎﴿٦١﴾

Answer 61

Those people are accelerating in the good things and they are the foremost to attain them.

Question 62

وَلَا نُكَلِّفُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا ۖ وَلَدَيْنَا كِتَابٌ يَنطِقُ بِالْحَقِّ ۚ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَ ‎﴿٦٢﴾

Answer 62

We do not place a burden on anyone except to his ability. With Us there is a book which speaks with the truth. And they shall not be wronged.

Question 63

بَلْ قُلُوبُهُمْ فِي غَمْرَةٍ مِّنْ هَٰذَا وَلَهُمْ أَعْمَالٌ مِّن دُونِ ذَٰلِكَ هُمْ لَهَا عَامِلُونَ ‎﴿٦٣﴾‏

Answer 63

But their hearts are in ignorance baout this and they have deeds other than that which they are continuously doing.

Question 64

حَتَّىٰ إِذَا أَخَذْنَا مُتْرَفِيهِم بِالْعَذَابِ إِذَا هُمْ يَجْأَرُونَ ‎﴿٦٤﴾

Answer 64

Until when We will seize the affluent ones with the punishment, they will suddenly start crying.

Question 65

لَا تَجْأَرُوا الْيَوْمَ ۖ إِنَّكُم مِّنَّا لَا تُنصَرُونَ ‎﴿٦٥﴾

Answer 65

(Then it will be said to them) ‘Do not cry today. Indeed you will not be helped by Us’.

Question 66

قَدْ كَانَتْ آيَاتِي تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ فَكُنتُمْ عَلَىٰ أَعْقَابِكُمْ تَنكِصُونَ ‎﴿٦٦﴾

Answer 66

My verses used to be recited upon you but you used to turn back on your heels.

Question 67

مُسْتَكْبِرِينَ بِهِ سَامِرًا تَهْجُرُونَ ‎﴿٦٧

Answer 67

In arrogance, making it a subject of tales at night, talking nonsense (about it).

Question 68

أَفَلَمْ يَدَّبَّرُوا الْقَوْلَ أَمْ جَاءَهُم مَّا لَمْ يَأْتِ آبَاءَهُمُ الْأَوَّلِينَ ‎﴿٦٨﴾‏

Answer 68

Then is it that they did not ponder over the word (of Allah (s.w.t)) or there has come to them something that did not come to their forefathers.

Question 69

أَمْ لَمْ يَعْرِفُوا رَسُولَهُمْ فَهُمْ لَهُ مُنكِرُونَ ‎﴿٦٩﴾

Answer 69

Or did they recognise their messenger and therefore they denied him?

Question 70

أَمْ يَقُولُونَ بِهِ جِنَّةٌ ۚ بَلْ جَاءَهُم بِالْحَقِّ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ لِلْحَقِّ كَارِهُونَ ‎﴿٧٠﴾

Answer 70

Or do they say ‘He is suffering from madness’, no but he has come to them with truth, but it is the truth that most of them dislike’.

Question 71

وَلَوِ اتَّبَعَ الْحَقُّ أَهْوَاءَهُمْ لَفَسَدَتِ السَّمَاوَاتُ وَالْأَرْضُ وَمَن فِيهِنَّ ۚ بَلْ أَتَيْنَاهُم بِذِكْرِهِمْ فَهُمْ عَن ذِكْرِهِم مُّعْرِضُونَ ‎﴿٧١﴾‏

Answer 71

Had the truth followed their desires, the Heavens and the Earth and all those therein would have fallen into disorder. However We have brouth to them their advice, but it is their advice that they are averse to.

Question 72

أَمْ تَسْأَلُهُمْ خَرْجًا فَخَرَاجُ رَبِّكَ خَيْرٌ ۖ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ الرَّازِقِينَ ‎﴿٧٢﴾‏

Answer 72

Or is it that you (oh Prophet (s.a.w)) demand renumeration from them? But the renumeration from your Lord is best. And He is the best of providers.

Question 73

وَإِنَّكَ لَتَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ ‎﴿٧٣﴾

Answer 73

Indeed you are calling them to a straight path.

Question 74

وَإِنَّ الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْآخِرَةِ عَنِ الصِّرَاطِ لَنَاكِبُونَ ‎﴿٧٤﴾‏

Answer 74

And indeed those who do not believe in The Hereafter are deviators from the path.

Question 75

۞ وَلَوْ رَحِمْنَاهُمْ وَكَشَفْنَا مَا بِهِم مِّن ضُرٍّ لَّلَجُّوا فِي طُغْيَانِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ ‎﴿٧٥﴾

Answer 75

And if We have mercy on them and remove whatever distress they have, they would still persist obstinately in their rebellion, wandering blindly (in their disbelief).

Question 76

وَلَقَدْ أَخَذْنَاهُم بِالْعَذَابِ فَمَا اسْتَكَانُوا لِرَبِّهِمْ وَمَا يَتَضَرَّعُونَ ‎﴿٧٦﴾

Answer 76

We have already seized them with punishment, but they did not turn humble to their Lord, nor do they supplicate in humility.

Question 77

حَتَّىٰ إِذَا فَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِم بَابًا ذَا عَذَابٍ شَدِيدٍ إِذَا هُمْ فِيهِ مُبْلِسُونَ ‎﴿٧٧﴾‏

Answer 77

Until when We will open against them the door of a severe punishment they will be taken aback in despair.

Question 78

وَهُوَ الَّذِي أَنشَأَ لَكُمُ السَّمْعَ وَالْأَبْصَارَ وَالْأَفْئِدَةَ ۚ قَلِيلًا مَّا تَشْكُرُونَ ‎﴿٧٨﴾

Answer 78

He is The One who creates for you ears, eyes and hearts. Little you are grateful.

Question 79

وَهُوَ الَّذِي ذَرَأَكُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَإِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ ‎﴿٧٩﴾

Answer 79

And He is The One who created you on The Earth and to Him you shall be gathered.

Question 80

وَهُوَ الَّذِي يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ وَلَهُ اخْتِلَافُ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ ۚ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ ‎﴿٨٠﴾

Answer 80

And He is The One who give life and gives death and to Him belongs the alternation of the night and the day. So will you not understand?

Question 81

بَلْ قَالُوا مِثْلَ مَا قَالَ الْأَوَّلُونَ ‎﴿٨١﴾

Answer 81

Rather they say, as the former ones have said

Question 82

قَالُوا أَإِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَامًا أَإِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ ‎﴿٨٢﴾‏

Answer 82

They say: ‘Is it that when we die and we are dust and bones that we will surely be resurrected?’.

Question 83

لَقَدْ وُعِدْنَا نَحْنُ وَآبَاؤُنَا هَٰذَا مِن قَبْلُ إِنْ هَٰذَا إِلَّا أَسَاطِيرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ ‎﴿٨٣﴾‏

Answer 83

This is what We have been promised and Our forefathers before. It is nothing but tales of the former people.

Question 84

قُل لِّمَنِ الْأَرْضُ وَمَن فِيهَا إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ ‎﴿٨٤﴾

Answer 84

Say ‘To whom is The Earth and whoever is in it if you would would understand?’.

Question 85

سَيَقُولُونَ لِلَّهِ ۚ قُلْ أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ ‎﴿٨٥﴾

Answer 85

They will say ‘for Allah (s.w.t)’. Say ‘Would you still pay no heed?’.

Question 86

قُلْ مَن رَّبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ السَّبْعِ وَرَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ ‎﴿٨٦﴾

Answer 86

Say ‘Who is the Lord of the 7 Heavens and the Lord of the great throne?’

Question 87

سَيَقُولُونَ لِلَّهِ ۚ قُلْ أَفَلَا تَتَّقُونَ ‎﴿٨٧﴾

Answer 87

They will say ‘For Allah (s.w.t)’. Say ‘Will you then not be god-fearing’.

Question 88

قُلْ مَن بِيَدِهِ مَلَكُوتُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَهُوَ يُجِيرُ وَلَا يُجَارُ عَلَيْهِ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ ‎﴿٨٨﴾

Answer 88

Say ‘Who is The One in whose hands lies the kingdom of everything and who gives protection and no protection can be given against Him, if you would know?’.

Question 89

سَيَقُولُونَ لِلَّهِ ۚ قُلْ فَأَنَّىٰ تُسْحَرُونَ ‎﴿٨٩﴾‏

Answer 89

They will say ‘(All this belongs) to Allah (s.w.t)’. Say ‘Then by which magic are you drawn crazy?’.

Question 90

بَلْ أَتَيْنَاهُم بِالْحَقِّ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَكَاذِبُونَ ‎﴿٩٠﴾

Answer 90

Rather We have brought to them The Truth and indeed they are absolute liars.

Question 91

مَا اتَّخَذَ اللَّهُ مِن وَلَدٍ وَمَا كَانَ مَعَهُ مِنْ إِلَٰهٍ ۚ إِذًا لَّذَهَبَ كُلُّ إِلَٰهٍ بِمَا خَلَقَ وَلَعَلَا بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ ۚ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ ‎﴿٩١﴾

Answer 91

Allah (s.w.t) has not taken a on for Himself nor was there any god with Him. Had there been so, every god would have taken away what he created and each one of them would have been aggressive against the other. Pure is Allah (s.w.t) from what they describe.

Question 92

عَالِمِ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ فَتَعَالَىٰ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ ‎﴿٩٢﴾

Answer 92

He is The Knower of the unseen and the seen and He is far above that which they associate with Him.

Question 93

قُل رَّبِّ إِمَّا تُرِيَنِّي مَا يُوعَدُونَ ‎﴿٩٣﴾‏

Answer 93

Say (Oh prophet (s.a.w) in prayer) ‘Oh my Lord, if You are to show me (in my life) that (punishment) which they (disbelievers) are promised with’.

Question 94

رَبِّ فَلَا تَجْعَلْنِي فِي الْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ ‎﴿٩٤﴾

Answer 94

Then my Lord do not place me among the wrongdoing people.

Question 95

وَإِنَّا عَلَىٰ أَن نُّرِيَكَ مَا نَعِدُهُمْ لَقَادِرُونَ ‎﴿٩٥﴾‏

Answer 95

And indeed We do have the power to show you that which We have promised them.

Question 96

ادْفَعْ بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ السَّيِّئَةَ ۚ نَحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَصِفُونَ ‎﴿٩٦﴾

Answer 96

Repel evil with that which is best. We are well aware of what they describe.

Question 97

وَقُل رَّبِّ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ هَمَزَاتِ الشَّيَاطِينِ ‎﴿٩٧﴾

Answer 97

And say ‘My Lord I seek refuge in You from the whispers of the devils’.

Question 98

وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ رَبِّ أَن يَحْضُرُونِ ‎﴿٩٨﴾

Answer 98

And I seek refuge in you my Lord even from their coming near me.

Question 99

حَتَّىٰ إِذَا جَاءَ أَحَدَهُمُ الْمَوْتُ قَالَ رَبِّ ارْجِعُونِ ‎﴿٩٩﴾

Answer 99

Until when death comes to one of them, he says ‘My Lord, send me back’.

Question 100

لَعَلِّي أَعْمَلُ صَالِحًا فِيمَا تَرَكْتُ ۚ كَلَّا ۚ إِنَّهَا كَلِمَةٌ هُوَ قَائِلُهَا ۖ وَمِن وَرَائِهِم بَرْزَخٌ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ ‎﴿١٠٠﴾

Answer 100

So that I may do righteous deeds in that (world) which I left behind. Never! It is simply a word he utters and in front of such people there is a barrier till a Day when they will be resurrected.

Question 101

فَإِذَا نُفِخَ فِي الصُّورِ فَلَا أَنسَابَ بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَلَا يَتَسَاءَلُونَ ‎﴿١٠١﴾

Answer 101

Thereafter when the trumpet will be blown no ties of kinship will remain between them on that Day, nor will they inquire about one another.

Question 102

فَمَن ثَقُلَتْ مَوَازِينُهُ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ ‎﴿١٠٢﴾‏

Answer 102

So the one whoses scales (of good deeds) turn out to be heavy, then such people are the successful ones.

Question 103

وَمَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَازِينُهُ فَأُولَٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ خَسِرُوا أَنفُسَهُمْ فِي جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدُونَ ‎﴿١٠٣﴾‏

Answer 103

And the one whose scales turn out to be light, then such people are the ones who caused loss to their ownselves. In Jahannum they will remain forever.

Question 104

تَلْفَحُ وُجُوهَهُمُ النَّارُ وَهُمْ فِيهَا كَالِحُونَ ‎﴿١٠٤﴾‏

Answer 104

The Fire will scorch their faces and they will be disfigured therein.

Question 105

أَلَمْ تَكُنْ آيَاتِي تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ فَكُنتُم بِهَا تُكَذِّبُونَ ‎﴿١٠٥﴾

Answer 105

(It will be said to them) ‘Were My verses not recited upon you and you used to reject them’.

Question 106

قَالُوا رَبَّنَا غَلَبَتْ عَلَيْنَا شِقْوَتُنَا وَكُنَّا قَوْمًا ضَالِّينَ ‎﴿١٠٦﴾

Answer 106

They will say ‘Our Lord our wretchedness prevailed over us and we were a people wandering astray’.

Question 107

رَبَّنَا أَخْرِجْنَا مِنْهَا فَإِنْ عُدْنَا فَإِنَّا ظَالِمُونَ ‎﴿١٠٧﴾

Answer 107

Our Lord, get us out from here. If we do this again then We will be wrongoders.

Question 108

قَالَ اخْسَئُوا فِيهَا وَلَا تُكَلِّمُونِ ‎﴿١٠٨﴾

Answer 108

He (Allah (s.w.t)) will say ‘Stay in it and do not speak to Me’.

Question 109

إِنَّهُ كَانَ فَرِيقٌ مِّنْ عِبَادِي يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا آمَنَّا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الرَّاحِمِينَ ‎﴿١٠٩﴾

Answer 109

There was indeed a group of My servatns who used to say ‘Our Lord, We belive so forigive us and have mercy on us and indeed You are the best of the nes who show mercy’.

Question 110

فَاتَّخَذْتُمُوهُمْ سِخْرِيًّا حَتَّىٰ أَنسَوْكُمْ ذِكْرِي وَكُنتُم مِّنْهُمْ تَضْحَكُونَ ‎﴿١١٠﴾

Answer 110

But you took them as a mockery such that you forgot My rememberance and you used to laugh at them.

Question 111

إِنِّي جَزَيْتُهُمُ الْيَوْمَ بِمَا صَبَرُوا أَنَّهُمْ هُمُ الْفَائِزُونَ ‎﴿١١١﴾‏

Answer 111

Today I have recompensed them for that which they were patient. Indeed they are the successful ones.

Question 112

قَالَ كَمْ لَبِثْتُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ عَدَدَ سِنِينَ ‎﴿١١٢﴾‏

Answer 112

He (Allah (s.w.t)) will say (to the disbelievers) ‘How many years did you sat on the Earth?’.

Question 113

قَالُوا لَبِثْنَا يَوْمًا أَوْ بَعْضَ يَوْمٍ فَاسْأَلِ الْعَادِّينَ ‎﴿١١٣﴾

Answer 113

They (disbelievers) will say: ‘We remained a day or part of a day so ask those (angels) who have (exact) calculation’.

Question 114

قَالَ إِن لَّبِثْتُمْ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا ۖ لَّوْ أَنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ ‎﴿١١٤﴾‏

Answer 114

He (Allah (s.w.t)) will say ‘You did not stay but for a little while. If only you would have understood (at the time)’.

Question 115

أَفَحَسِبْتُمْ أَنَّمَا خَلَقْنَاكُمْ عَبَثًا وَأَنَّكُمْ إِلَيْنَا لَا تُرْجَعُونَ ‎﴿١١٥﴾‏

Answer 115

So do you think that We created you for nothing, and that you will not be brought back to Us?

Question 116

فَتَعَالَى اللَّهُ الْمَلِكُ الْحَقُّ ۖ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْكَرِيمِ ‎﴿١١٦﴾

Answer 116

So High above all is Allah (s.w.t), The King, The True. There is no god but He, The Lord of The Noble Throne.

Question 117

وَمَن يَدْعُ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا آخَرَ لَا بُرْهَانَ لَهُ بِهِ فَإِنَّمَا حِسَابُهُ عِندَ رَبِّهِ ۚ إِنَّهُ لَا يُفْلِحُ الْكَافِرُونَ ‎﴿١١٧﴾‏

Answer 117

And whoever invokes another god with Allah (s.w.t) while he has no proof for it, his reckoning is only with his Lord. Surely the infidels will not achieve success.

Question 118

وَقُل رَّبِّ اغْفِرْ وَارْحَمْ وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الرَّاحِمِينَ ‎﴿١١٨﴾‏

Answer 118

And say (Oh prophet (s.a.w)) ‘My Lord, grant pardon and have mercy for You are the best of all the merciful ones’.
