What are yuan-source points?
Yuan-Source points exist on each of the primary channels, this is where original qi (Yuan Qi) surfaces and lingers.
Where are yuan-source points located on yin channels?
Yuan-Source points are located on the third or third to last point and they overlap with the Shu-Stream points.
Where are Yuan-Source points located on the Yang channels?
On Yang channels Yuan-Source points are the fourth or fourth most distal point (except for GB)
What do Yuan Source points on the Yin channels do?
They tonify the Yin organs.
What do Yuan source points on the Yang Channels do?
On the Yang channels they treat excess conditions and expel pathogens.

Tonifies the Lung
Transforms phlegm and descends rebellious qi
Regulates the 100 vessels
Treats pain along the channel

o Yuan source points on yin channels tonify yin organs.
PC7 clears heat from the heart and calms the spirit, harmonises the stomach and intestines, unbinds the chest, clears nutritive level and cools blood.
