DC state 1 is battle stations, all pumps are running and valves are isolated into individual ring mains

DC state 3 is peace time state, one pump is running and all valves are open

Who is responsible for WT integrity?

It is everyone inboards job to ensure WT integrity is maintained to prevent the ship sinking, all doors marked for the relevant state should be closed correctly

What are the different WT states?

Answer 4

Xray - all doors marked x are closed with 12 clips, this is the lowest state of WT

Yankee - all doors marked X and Y must be closed, this is the medium state of WT

Zulu - All doors marked X Y and Z must be closed with 12 clips, this is the highest state of WT security, usually for DC state 1.

A 2 clip system can be set in place for ease of movement through specific compartments

WEDA - 100 tons per hour
Hathaway - 33 tons per hour
Salvage - 75 tons per hour
Portable - 15 tons per hour
Fixed - 12 tons per hour
