What is a STP
A
A sewage treatment plant, it aerates and chlorinates the waste and discharges it overboard

How does the STP work?
A
Black water goes through a coarse screen into an aeration department, aeration diffusers are located at the bottom of the compartment to aerate the waste at the bottom of the compartment. An air lift takes the waste into a settlement hopper where all the sludge is forced to the bottom and goes to a sludge return line. The remaining waste gets sent to the chlorine contact where it’s disinfected and then gets sent to a holding tank where it waits to be sent to the discharge pump.
