Who was the most significant president in terms of affecting change for AA civil rights?
I think JFK was the most significant president as he was the one who started all the change and progress for AAs. He proposed the Civil Rights Act but died before it was passed so he was the one that pushed it into importance and LBJ got it passed. Even though JFK did not endorse voting rights, he filed 57 lawsuits against violations of black voting rights. LBJ did more for education but JFK achieved a lot in the short time he was President. He also endorsed the March on Washington which shows how much he supported AAs.
-LBJ made more of an impact but JKF did more in a shorter amount of time
