Sling-Seat:
- Hips tend to slide forward
- Thigh tend to Adduct and IR
- Reinforced poor pelvic position (posterior pelvic tilt)

Every 15 minutes
Indications for why Lower back height may be used?
- May increase functional mobility (sports chairs)
Indications why high back height may be necessary?
- Poor Trunk Stability
- Extensor Spasms
When are Elevating Leg Rests indicated?
- LE edema control
- Postural support
When are Elevating Leg Rest Contraindicated?
Knee Flexor (Hamstring) Hypertonicity or tightness
What are Casters?
Small front wheels, typically 8 inches in diameter
Hemiplegic Chair (Hemi-Chair) characteristics?
- Designed to be low to the ground, allowing propulsion with uninvolved LE and UE
Drive (rear) wheel placement for patients with bilateral LE amputations?
Drive wheels, posterior to the vertical back supports (2 inches backward)
- Increases length of BOS and posterior stability
(When seated in a WC their COG is now more posterior in which they are prone to tipping backward, which is why drive wheels need to be moved back)
