What was a Golden Age?
A period of relative prosperity 1924-1929, known as the “gold age”.
This was reflected with a strong support for moderate pro-Weimar party in 1928.
Why was there deep division at this time?
Rigid class separation and friction remained. Aristocrats looked down on M/C and W/C M/C and W/C hadn't fully began to cooperate.
How did the Weimar try to tackle the gender battle during the 20’s?

- Weimar Republic was a fascinating time for art and culture.
- No censorship and conservatives forces heated it.

How did the Golden Era come to an end?
In OCT 1929, American stock market crashed and bank failures led to a recall of American loans to Germany.
This lead to mass unemployment and serve economic hardship, state couldn’t afford to meet its promise and cut-spending.
