Q
Multipolar Neuron
A
The cell body has both dendrites (many) and an axon (classical neuron)
1
Q
Where are the cell bodies of multipolar neurons located?
A
Dorsal or Posterior horn - these are the only multipolar neurons in the spinal cord
2
Q
Bipolar Neuron
A
Two processes (one off of each side) -one dendrite and one axon
3
Q
Unipolar (pseudo unipolar) neurons
A
Soma- one stem/process comes off and then splits off into two legs of an axon- these are usually sensory cells - job to deliver info from sensory organ to CNS nerve (only on process from cell body
4
Q
What contains the preganglionic cell bodies of the ANS?
A
Lateral horn/ intermediolateral cell column
