Looks like a raison and is from HPV infection
What does lichen sclerosis look like on histology? Is it cancerous?
Thinning of epidermis and fibrosis of dermis.
It is benign but rarely can lead to squamous cell carcinoma

Lichen sclerosis
What causes Lichen Simplex Chronicus?

What does lichen simplex chronic us look like?
leukoplakia of vulva but leathery skin instead of papery like lichen sclerosis
How do you recognize vulvar carcinoma?
Looks like leukoplakia (which is benign) so need to do biopsy
2 etiology of vulvar carcinoma?
HPV related: if HPV 16 or 18 and aged 40-50
NonHPV related after long standing lichen sclerosis and woman is 70+
What is extramammary Paget Disease?
Malignant epithelial cells in epidermis of vulva and its IMPORTANT
How does extramammary Paget present?
erythematous, pruritic, ulcerated skin. IT IS UNPLEASANT b/c malignant cells
What is on the differential for extrammary paget disease? How do you tell them a part?

staining: Carcionoma: PAS+, keratin+ s100-
Melanoma: PAS- Keratin- s100+
Where do vulvar cancers metastasize to?
femoral/inguinal nodes
