HSV, CMV, ebola, TB, west nile, syphilis
What are the systemic inflammatory disease causes?
sarcoidosis, SLE, IBD, MS, sjogrens
What are some drugs that cause uveitis?
quinolones, bisphosphanates, CA
What are some ocular causes of uveitis/
idiopathic, penetrating, trauma, CD4 w/ HIV
What is the CM of anterior uveitis?
pain and redness around limbus, photophobia = ciliary flush
What is the CM of posteiror uveitis?
less pain, mild erythema, vision changes, floaters, watery eye
How does the opthalmologist dx?
slit lamp, dilated eye exam
How do you treat uveitis?
steroids topically
