move labia/foreskin aside
collect mid stream sample
waste disposal - yellow bin

what is the process of dipping the stick?

open the container and remove a strip
- check the use by date
- make sure you close the lid immediately
put gloves on
dip the test strip for NO MORE THAN A SECOND
make sure that all of the zones are wet
withdraw, dragging the plastic along the side to prevent drips

how do you compare the strip?

let the colour develop for one MINUTE

compare to the side of the bottle

what documentation needs to be done?

if its normal, write it out and then cross through in notes - won’t need to send sample off
