State the 4 key points of the Cambridgeshire Local Transport Plan?
High levels of commuting - 65% of people in Peterborough and Cambridgeshire commute by car to work if development continues and this issue isn’t helped this will get even worse and cause even more congestion.
Air pollution - some areas are at times exceeding the national levels - these areas corresponded with the most congested areas.
Noise pollution - 57% of Cambridge residents feel that traffic is a problem due to the noise produced from this.
Economic - congestion is slowing the efficiency of business this being the delivery of products or the movement of the people.

Building of tunnels underground for buses - eventually more vehicles.
Improve the public transport - running more buses, extending busway, building of tram lines.
Improve the highways - widen the trunk roads and building an orbital route and building new roads.
Develop high occupancy vehicle lanes - promoting the share use of vehicles through priority lanes or financial incentives.
Promote cycling or walking - healthier option and make the area more cycle/walking friendly.
Do the minimum - continue the existing policies.

Integrated transport system - 5 main roads with 1 bus lane - 1 way traffic.
Affordable housing - developers have to pay to extent the height of skyscrapers this money goes towards helping to build low cost housing.
Community - centre is pedestrianised to prevent congestion - community activities set ip here to create the spirit.
Green spaces - banks of the rivers are left as parks - sheep graze when not flooding then they just let these spaces flood and old industrial areas have been transformed to urban parks to prevent slums.

Red - express bus with express routes
Orange - outside of city into the city then go onto express routes
Green - go around the inside of the city
Grey - similar to red route but more stops
Pay before they ride, tunnels and turnstiles
