what happens in a medical termination of pregnancy

what are the 2 stages

A
  1. oral mifepristone 200mg
  2. 24 -48 hours later either vaginal or oral misoprostol or gemeprost

if early (< 9 weeks) can complete second stage at home if wanted

if later on may need repeated doses at stage 2 every 3 hours or so

if this fails, then surgery will be required
