+ experienced performers can combine both for a full picture of performance

+ can be very detailed for experienced performers
+ focus on one or two aspects for beginners

- can be challenging to break down a performance in order to provide detailed feedback required by experienced players

- become demoralising for beginners
- too many negatives can confuse performer on how to respond

Can emphasis positive aspects too highly and suggest the overall performance was better than it actually was

Information a performer receives about what was correct it good about their performance

Information about a performers performance generally and more specifically about their technique
What is negative feedback?
Information a performer receives about what was incorrect or bad about their performance
