7
Q

evaluation qualitative

A

+ richness in detail that quantity. broader in scope, gives ppt opportunity to fully report thoughts.
greater external validity, more meaningful insight.

  • difficult to analyse, not easily summarised statistically, patterns and comparisons hard to identify. rely on subjective interpretations of researcher, biased, preconceptions.

8
Q

evaluation quantitative

A

+ simple to analyse, comparisons easily drawn, less biased and objective.

9
Q

evaluation primary

A

+ authentic, target specific information that the reasercher requires.

  • requires effort and time of researcher, experiments require planning and resources.

10
Q

evaluation secondary

A

+ inexpesive and easily accessed requiring minimal effort, desired info already exists, no need for primary.

  • may be substatial variation in quality and accuracy of secondary data, outdatded or incomplete, challenges validity.

Q

evaluation meta-analysis

A

+ create larger more varied sample, generalised results across larger populations, validity

  • publication bias, researcher may not select all relevant studies, conclusions always biased only shows some relevant data.
