- Chest wall instability, deformity, or significant focal bony
tenderness - Significant abdominal pain, tenderness, or bruising (i.e. seatbelt
sign) related to acute traumatic event - Two or more proximal long-bone fractures
- Amputation proximal to wrist or ankle
- Pelvic fracture
- Open or depressed skull fracture
- Paralysis or new neuro defici

A
Mechanism:
- Fall:
- adult > 20 feet
- child > 10 feet or 3 x height of child
- High risk auto crash
- ejection (partial or complete) from automobile
-death in same passenger compartment
- Auto vs. pedestrian or bicyclist thrown, run over, or with > 20mph
impact
- Motorcycle crash > 20 mph
