topic 28 Flashcards
what are the borders of deep inguinal ring
Profound inguinal ring
- Dist/ventr?: Lig. Inguinale (made by EO tendon)
- Cran: m. oblique internus abdominalis
- Caud: Rectus abdominis
what are the borders of supf inguinal ring
EO tendon form crus pelvina (lat) and crus femorale (med) (to lig. Inguinale). The slit between these tendons form the supf. Inguinal ring
First pull on leg to see lig. Inguinale. Clean area cranioprox to it to find the two crus of the EO
what travels through anulus ing
- proc. Vaginalis (female, lig teres uteri)
- a./v. pudenda externa coming out of it -> trace to find Ln. Inguinalis supf.
- Ductus deferens (A/V ductus deferens)
- r. genitalis of n. genitofemoralis(L2-3)
- m. cremaster + a. cremasterica (Ex m. abd obl int)
describe the dissection prior to dissecting a. prof. fem
Clean medial thigh mm. First before you transect sartorius distally to see the borders to show! Then follow ext iliac from femoral triangle
gives of a. abd caud distally to femoral canal
Becomes a. femoralis as it enters canalis femoralis (before gives off a. profunda femoris)
what are the branches of a. prof fem
TEGN
goind cranial!
tr. pudendoepigastrica
- a. abd. caud
- a. epigastrica caud
- a. pudenda ext: r. epig caud sup(rr. preputiales) and r. labialis/r.scrotalis
a. circ fem med - run with n. obturatorius
- r. asc
- r. obturatorius
- r. prof
- r. acetabularis
- r. transversus ->
which mm do you have to transect to see the branches of circ fem med
adductor mm and gracilis
where do you find the lnn. ing supf
under branching of pudenda externa
describe n. genitofemoralis
L3+L4 is the origin from pl. lumbalis: The femoral branches supplies the skin of the proximal medial thigh, nerve courses caudolaterally•The genital branches supplies skin of pudendal region •It leaves the spine through the m. psoas major, and runs along the distal part of a. iliacaexterna, before leaving the abdomen through the inguinal canal •Before leaving the abdomen, it gives off a branch to the internal oblique abdominal muscle
n. genitofemoralis innervates
vulva/scrotum, prepuce, mammae, m. cremaster
how much time for the testis to descend
approx 40 days
what are the branches of iliaca externa in dog
deep femoral only!!
ln - amount and other names?
Normally two in number Also called scrotal/mammary lymph nodes
location of ln in female
In females they are underneath the inguinal mammary glands, and harder to feel.
