Composed of four lobes, parietal, temporal, frontal, occipital
What is the cerebellum used for?
Controls balance and movement
What is the cerebral cortex used for?
creating memory
controlling personality
language development
What’s the medulla oblongata used for?
Controls involuntary responses, heart rate and breathing
also controls committing and swallowing reflexes
What are PET scans
used to produce images that allow the structure and functioning of tissues to be evaluated
What’s a brain tumour?
It may squash other parts of the brain reducing the functioning of the brain
