It causes follicle to mature and stimulates ovary to produce oestrogen
What does oestrogen do and does it stimulate or inhibit?
It builds and maintains uterus lining
Rapid rise in oestrogen stimulates pituitary gland to produce LH. It inhibits FSH. Surge stimukates LH
What does LH do?
Causes ovulation (release of à mature egg from an ovary)
What does progesterone do and does it inhibit or stimulate?
Maintains uterus lining
Inhibits FSH and LH
