Officer surrenders firearm and is assigned to an admin position that does not involve contact with the public. Officer then has 60 more days to remediate and qualify.

What are the timelines of appealing a failed firearms qual to the Firearms Qualification Review Board?
- Employee send appeal to ETS captain within two days of their reassignment or failure.
- FQRB meets within 14 days of the request.
- FQRB makes a recommendation within 7 days of meeting.

How much time does an officer have to remediate after failing shotgun or rifle program qualification?
30 days.
