most appropriate investigations for thyroid nodules?

A
  • TFTs- most patients will be euthyroid
  • Ultrasound - useful for determining the character of the thyroid nodules
  • FNA - allows cytological analysis
  • Radionuclide Isotope Scanning - checks iodine uptake
  • CT/MRI - detect spread of thyroid cancer
