what is the aetiology of pagets disease?

A
  • Excessive bone resorption by abnormally large osteoclasts is followed by increased bone formation by osteoblasts in a disorganised fashion
  • This results in an abnormal pattern of lamellar bone

  • May present with insidious onset bone pain
