Aims to present the news in a way that still allows audience members to create their own opinions (strong use of factual info- demonstrating creditability and high quality)

Use of a lot of lexis (appealing to the audience as they wish to be educated)

Aligns with typical gender stereotypes- emotions weak and vulnerable . ‘driven to despair’ she is out of control
HOWEVER
she isn’t sexualised

presented as being an important topic however the newspaper remains somewhat neutral

Shows a disorganised party how they aren’t all on the same page the article shows this
