Takes messages from the central nervous system
What do interneurons do?
They connect motor and sensory neurons in the central nervous system
What is a synapse?
Is the region where two neurons come into close contact
What does a synapse do?
Controls the direction of the impulses
What is a stimulus?
A stimulus is any change in your environment
What is a receptor?
Is a a nerve cell that detects a stimulus
What is an impulse?
Is an electrical message that is carried along a neuron
What is the axon?
Is a very long fibre that conducts impulses away from the cell body
