Q

How do you compare the carbon dioxide level of inhaled and exhaled air?

A
  1. Set up two test tubes with limewater and stoppers with tubes in them
  2. Suck in air through the short tube of one test tube (represents inhaled air)
  3. Blow out air through the long tube of the other test tube (represents exhaled air)
  4. Record which tube the limewater goes milky in first
  5. The level of carbon dioxide in exhaled air is greater than the level of carbon dioxide in inhaled air
